Finance Director

Mr. Davie Tembo is a Malawian Finance and Administration Professional with over 18 years of professional experience focused on donor projects, sub-grant management, with key competencies in financial analysis, financial reporting, budget development, budget monitoring, as well as formulation and review of financial policies and procedures. His experience also includes setting up internal controls, treasury management, contract management, procurement, logistics, administration, tax planning and management, team management and auditing of profit and non-profit making organizations.

In his capacity as the Finance Director, he oversees the finance management portfolio of Lighthouse and procurement functions and aims to create seamless processes in the Finance Directorate that will greatly contribute to the efficient delivery of health care services at Lighthouse Trust.

Mr. Tembo is a holder of a Master of Business Administration Degree obtained from the East and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) as well as being a Certified Chartered Accountant.

Having worked for both local and international institutions at various levels in both Finance and Administration, Mr. Tembo has accumulated experience in the financial management of both profit and non-profit organizations including successfully managing two PEPFAR grants for “Improving Quality of Care and Health Impact through Innovative Electronic Medical System Technologies in Malawi” from 2009 to 2019.
